Chapter 3: Going for a Swim
After taking another night to camp and hunt, Bo prepared some victuals for the group before they set out towards Kakariko. They traveled much of the way blessedly unmolested, though they also encountered no other travelers or signs of civilization - clearly, the Hyrule of this era was troubled. Lah began taking pictures for his memory banks to attempt to catalogue the current state of the land, which would also make it easier to track down any specific supplies they may need in the future.
Lah Rudania wanted to deviate slightly from their path to stop by a location where a Sheikah Tower should be, after not finding the one on the Great Plateau either. To get to it, though, they would have to cross a river blocking their path - not a particularly fast one, but still deep enough to make the crossing difficult.
Bo was able to use his hookshot to get across, and Dinah forced her way through even in all of her heavy armor, but once the party was thoroughly split on either side, the Lizalfos that had been camouflaged among the rolling hillocks attacked! Not only that, but some Octoroks had been in the river as well, and they, too, attacked the group!
Dinah drew the lizalfos' attention, leaving openings for the others, as Bo did his best to snipe the Octoroks when they popped up to spit. Grik used a Sheikah jutsu to skip across the surface of the water, swiping at the Octoroks as he passed them, as Ignatius fired at everyone from a distance and Lah Rudania locked enemies in stasis and continued to catalogue them.
They managed to defeat the enemies with no significant injuries, and Dinah dragged Ignatius across the river by rope, and Bo hookshotted Lah Rudania across. They then investigated the Sheikah Tower's location.
Lah Rudania could sense the tower lurking beneath the earth, and managed to ping it and activate it - it rushed out from beneath the shallow marsh, and Lah and Dinah managed to grab onto it and pull their ways up with it, skipping an arduous climb. At the top, Lah Rudania was able to sync with the tower, revealing information about their surroundings (including a stable nearby). They descended the tower, and the group as a whole decided they would build a raft to ride the river to the stable, and go from there to Kakariko.
